Super Early Top 25

1. Ohio State: defending national champs with a ton of talent returning, including skill positions and Offensive Line starters this season. Lots can happen in a football season, but this team should prove to be tough again in 2015. More talent on the way as well.

2. Alabama: Alabama is Alabama. They lose some outstanding talent but they always reload. Jake Coker absolutely must come through for them.

3. TCU: The Frogs get their Quarterback back and he is special. This team has chips on their shoulders.

4. USC: The Trojans will be shouldering a heavy load this season. Much is expected of them.

5. Georgia: The Bulldogs have some talent especially at Running Back but have a history of disappointing.

6. Florida State: Losing Jameis Winston is huge, but like Bama the Seminoles simply reload.

7. Baylor: The Bears lost QB and still won’t have much of a defense but it won’t matter.

8. Arizona State: The Sun Devils are probably overrated here, but they return 9 starters on defense and 7 on offense. Quarterback Mike Bercovici will impress this year.

9. Auburn: I would not be surprised to see Auburn have a fantastic season. The hiring of Will Muschamp takes Auburn to an entirely new level. Defense wins championships.

10. Oregon: Not sure they can replace Mariota, but they will probably only drop off a little. They still need a defense.

11. Georgia Tech: As long as Justin Thomas is at Quarterback, Georgia Tech will have to be dealt with. The 5 offensive starters include Thomas and they return 7 on defense.

12. Arkansas: The Razorbacks return 8 starters on offense and 4 of those are on the Offensive Line which is about as good as anyone’s. Big losses on defense but they have 6 starters. Really good team by end of last season.

13. Clemson: Big losses on defensive front, but Deshaun Watson is a star. But, can he stay healthy and can they beat Florida State.

14. Mississippi State: Dak is back but they have some personnel losses to overcome.

15. LSU: The Tigers were young on offense last season and those guys should be better. They will have a good defense again.

16. Missouri: QB Maty Mauk returns and the Tigers could win the SEC East yet again.

17. UCLA: The Bruins have some talent and should have a great Offensive Line and 1,000 yard rushher Paul Perkins. Defense lost leading tackler Eric Kendricks, but return most everyone else.

18. Oklahoma: Disappointing 2014 season for the Sooners, but return outstanding freshman Samaje Perine. Offensive Line lost too much talent.

19. Stanford: QB Kevin Hogan is back for his 4th season and they return 4 starters in Offensive Line. Defense is always good at Stanford, but they lost a lot of players from lastĀ  year.

20. Arizona: Anu Solomon had a great freshman season for the Wildcats. The nation’s leading tackler, Linebacker Scooby Wright. The Wildcats won the Pac 12 South last season and should compete again this year.

21. Texas A%M: The Aggies brought in new Defensive Coordinator and they needed that badly. Sophomore Quarterback Kyle Allen will have to fight off freshman super star Kyler Murray.

22. Michigan State: QB Connor Cook is back for his senior season and they have a strong Offensive Line. Shilique Calhoun is back on defense.

Louisville: Could be good, but lost a lot of players.

Florida: New coaching staff, but the Gators should still have some talent.

Washington:Lost some serious talent on defense.

Nebraska: Under new coaching staff and lost best players on offense and defense.

Penn State: James Franklin will get this show up and going soon.

California: May be another year away, but improved by leaps and bounds last year.

Texas: Still need a Quarterback, but defense should be better.

Boise State: The Broncos always rebound.

Virginia Tech: Solid defense as usual. Michael Brewer still has a chance to be solid at QB.

Memphis: One of most improved schools in the nation and Paxton Lynch a promising prospect at QB.

Duke: The Blue Devils have had unmatched success under David Cutcliffe.

Kansas State: The Wildcats may struggle at QB, but solid across the board.

Utah: The Utes should be improved inĀ  2015.

Oklahoma State: The Cowboys came on strong at year’s end.

Michigan: It’s hard to know what to expect out of the Wolverines with the new coaching staff.

Pittsburgh: Great running game returns with a new coaching staff.

BYU: QB Taysom Hill returns and so goes the Cougars.

Notre Dame: not sure this is going to happen.
