October 6th:

Texas vs Oklahoma: This is one of the top rivalries in the country and the 4-1 Longhorns might challenge the 5-0 Sooners.

Missouri at South Carolina: The perfect environment for Drew Lock to prove he belongs in the discussion as a first round draft pick.

LSU at Florida: Ohio State transfer Joe Burrow has transformed LSU into a good team, but are they as good as the pollsters have them ranked?

FSU at Miami: While lacking the luster of yesteryear’s games, this is still a meaningful rivalry and will be important again in a year, or two. Should be an interesting watch.

Auburn at Mississippi State: The Bulldogs are a disappointment, and the Tigers need a big win here.

Notre Dame at Virginia Tech: After being humiliated at Old Dominion, the Hokies bounced back and are in the polls again. Does that even mean anything? The Irish are unbeaten with good wins over Michigan and Stanford, but they will need to dispose of the Hokies in impressive fashion.

October 13th: 

Missouri at Alabama: I have no delusions that this will be a close game, but Drew Lock could possibly make it more interesting than normal. Nah, I doubt it. Tua Tagovailoa and company will roll as usual.

Georgia at LSU: This has the makings of a great game if LSU doesn’t lose beforehand. Georgia should be ranked #2 with the Tigers ranked #5. If Georgia loses here, they may be in doubt of being the second SEC team in the playoffs again.

Washington at Oregon: These guys just don’t like each other which makes for interesting football.

Michigan State at Penn State: The Nittany Lions could just as easily be still unbeaten after Ohio State. Great game, with two evenly matched teams. Michigan State could be a challenge.

Wisconsin at Michigan: The Badgers are my disappointing team of the season with the loss to BYU at home. But, they still have enough to cause great problems for the Wolverines. Being in Ann Arbor will be helpful.

Colorado at USC: Clay Helton’s days at USC are probably numbered and this is a big game for the Buffaloes.

Thursday October 18th:

Saturday October 20th:

NC State at Clemson: State is just not scared of Clemson and they fight them to the wire almost every time. Wolfpack coach has made it clear he does not like Clemson.

Oklahoma at TCU: The Frogs could be a tough game for the Sooners especially at home.

Colorado at Washington: This could be a very interesting match up. The Buffaloes are still in a rebuilding phase and looking to upset a few good teams.

Michigan at Michigan State: This is a rivalry that the Spartans have owned in recent years and the Wolverines need to put a stop to that.

October 27th:

Clemson at Florida State: The Seminoles should play Clemson tough at home, especially. Florida State showed signs of life recently. Clemson is going to have to pick it up to gain a playoff spot.

Kentucky at Missouri: The Wildcats are running through the SEC, but Missouri could present a problem for them.

Texas at Oklahoma State: Lots of questionable officiating when these two meet, and this year will probably be the same. This one could be a nail biter for fans.

Purdue at Michigan State: Again, these Boilermakers can be a handful and the Spartans better play better than they have been.

NC State at Syracuse: The Orange lost a tough one to Clemson and still have a shot at a great season. The Wolfpack are a dangerous opponent and this could be a great one.

Florida vs Georgia: I quit drinking in about 2010, so the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party means nothing to me. It seems to be a  bragging point with SEC fans. I do, however, love football and this game is often pretty interesting. I will be watching and sober.
