McCaffrey Weekly Update September 21st

Dylan McCaffrey is the third son of four in the McCaffrey family and a talented athlete. I am sure there are a lot more colleges interested in this talented Quarterback than the ones mentioned on the recruiting sites. ESPN has McCaffrey with offers from Colorado, Michigan, Penn State, UCLA, and Virginia. Although, I am sure Stanford and Duke will be interested in him as well since he has family connections with both.

This past week, the third McCaffrey son led his Valor Christian High School team past Salt Lake City East High School, 26-10. McCaffrey hit 17 out of 25 passes for 234 yards and 2 Touchdowns. He also ran for 32 yards as the Eagles improved to 2-2 on the season.

Michigan has Brandon Peters from Avon, Indiana committed for next season, and the UCLA Bruins have true freshman Josh Rosen starting at Quarterback this season. Those don’t look like the best of options for Dylan McCaffrey, but there will be plenty of suitors.

Stanford has done really well in the past few seasons against the USC Trojans and this year the Cardinal upset them in Los Angeles.

With Stanford winning 41 to 31, leading rusher Christian McCaffrey broke the 100 yard barrier for the first time this season with 115 yards on 26 carries. He caught 3 passes for 37 yards and returned 5 kickoffs for 97 yards. He didn’t score any of the Touchdowns for the Cardinal, but he was an integral part of their offense while upsetting the Trojans.

On the season, McCaffrey now has 239 yards rushing and 12 receptions for 119 yards and a Touchdown.

Across the country, Duke took on Northwestern who had already given Christian McCaffrey and Stanford fits in the first game of the season while upsetting them, 16 to 6.

The Wildcats of Northwestern pretty much had their way with Duke, as well, coming out on top, 19-10.

Mac McCaffrey, one of the Duke Wide Receivers was held to 3 receptions and 34 yards. So far for the 2015 season, McCaffrey has 9 receptions for 146 yards and a Touchdown.

The Duke Blue Devils fell to 2-1 on the season, but they still haven’t played an ACC game and they have a great shot at a great season.

In case you haven’t seen this blog before, and you have not read about the McCaffrey’s there is one more brother named Luke and he is a freshman at Valor Christian High School.
