Gordon was a sophomore and White was a senior.
The 2014 season belonged to Melvin Gordon and he had an incredible season. He ran for 2,587 yards and 29 Touchdowns and averaged 7.54 yards per carry. He broke the NCAA single game rushing record against Nebraska when he ran for 408 yards in the snow.
Gordon ran for 200 yards or more in 6 different games.
In their bowl game, the Auburn players were talking trash about Gordon and he proceeded to run for 251 yards and 3 Touchdowns. Gordon departed for the NFL a year early and who can blame him after a season like his. Only Barry Sanders had run for more yardage than Melvin Gordon in 2014, and Sanders won the Heisman.
Sophomore Corey Clement even ran for 949 yards in 2014. The 5-11, 220 Clement looked awesome when given the opportunity to play. He topped the 100 yard barrier 4 times during the season including 164 yards against Illinois and 105 against the Auburn Tigers.
The Glassboro, New Jersey native was primed and ready to have a huge season in 2015.

While Clement was sidelined, Dare Ogunbowale ran for 819 yards. Freshman Taiwan Deal ran for 503 yards. Those guys will both get their carries this next year, but Clements will be the man.
As long as he stays off the sidelines.
