So, After Two Games, Boston College Leads

After two games have come and gone and the season is quickly flying by, the national leader in total defense is none other than the Boston College Golden Eagles.

Of course, it helps that they have played Maine and Howard, but I haven’t seen any fat SEC coaches crying about their easy schedule.

Tonight, Friday the 18th of September, that all ends for Boston College. The Florida State Seminoles come into the historical city for an early ACC showdown.

Boston College versus Florida State has happened only 12 times and the Seminoles have 8 wins to the Eagles 4. But, since 2008, the record stands at 5 wins for the Seminoles and the Eagles with 2. Florida State has won the last 5 games between these two. But, in the last days of Bobby Bowden, Boston College kind of game Florida State fits on the football field.

Right now, the Eagles are playing great defense. The Seminoles are possibly cooperating by struggling a bit on offense.

One guy that is not struggling for Florida State is Dalvin Cook. The sophomore Running Back from Miami ran for 156 yards in game one against Texas State, but then really took off in game two with 266 yards rushing against a pretty good South Florida team.

So far on the season, Cook has 422 yards and 5 Touchdowns.

His off field issues will not be brought up here. Wait, I just did bring them up.

This guy is super talented if he can stay out of trouble.

Notre Dame transfer Everett Golson has thrown for 465 yards and also 5 Touchdowns, as he continues to adjust to the Jimbo Fisher offense.

Across the field, the new starting Quarterback for Boston College is Darius Wade. He has not done that much so far, but he hasn’t had to, yet. Wade’s back up is a freshman with the most famous name in Boston College history, Flutie. Heisman Trophy winner Doug Flutie’s nephew, Troy, is a freshman looking for playing time early.

The Boston College defense is led by sophomore Linebacker Connor Strachan.

Tune in tonight at 7 PM Central Time to see what could be a really good game.
