19-8 on my picks last week, but I sure felt like Florida State was going to lose.
Thursday: November 6th
Clemson at Wake Forest: I am reasonably sure I blogged about Clemson Quarterback Deshaun Watson long before it was cool to do so. In the present and the next 2 years, Watson will be on the news a lot and as far as Watson goes, Clemson will go. This kid is going to be special and he is supposed to be back this week and play against Wake Forest.
Clemson will wallop Wake Forest on national television.
Friday: November 7th
Memphis at Temple: Paxton Lynch of Memphis is a fun Quarterback to watch. He’s a rare breed at 6-7, 230 and can run. The Memphis Tigers are 5-3 on the season with losses coming to UCLA and Ole Miss and they are not a bad team at all. Temple is also 5-3 with wins over Vanderbilt and East Carolina. I am picking Memphis here, but Temple is a decent team as well.
Utah State at Wyoming: Utah State lost it’s star Quarterback Chuckie Keeten, but his back up Darell Garretson stepped up like a champ.
Look for Utah State to win this game and maybe big.
Saturday: November 8th
#3 Alabama at # 10 LSU: This is always a game to look forward to. Alabama, of course, lost to Ole Miss already, but they are still one of the very best teams in the country. LSU struggled in their
opener but has gotten better as the season has progressed. The Bengal Tigers are hard to beat in Baton Rouge for everybody except the Crimson Tide. This is a must watch game for college football fans and Bama should win this one. LSU will be the best 3 loss team in the country.
#13 Georgia at Kentucky: Kentucky has been a surprisingly strong team this season, but both of these teams are starting to fade. Kentucky is much better at home than on the road. The Wildcats are playing for pride and a better bowl game, while Georgia is in a must win situation. Georgia has a good team, but something is missing other than just superstar Running Back Todd Gurley.
Georgia should win, but I would not be surprised at all if the Kentucky Wildcats pulled off the upset at home. Kentucky Quarterback is the future of the SEC East.
Virginia at #2 Florida State: Virginia has been a much improved team this season, but they are still only 4-5. Four of those losses have been really close games.
Florida State will win this game easily, but Virginia has a lot of fight in them.
Texas A%M at Auburn: The Aggies lost 3 games in a row and then announced they were switching Quarterbacks and going with true freshman Kyle Allen. The following day, we hear that Kenny Hill had been suspended. Thanks for the honesty. Not!!!
The Aggies struggled against Louisiana Monroe and Auburn is just a little bit better than the Warhawks of Louisiana Monroe.
The Auburn Tigers had war with Ole Miss last week and it’s hard to say if that will affect them this week.
Gus Malzahn isĀ one of the very best coaches in all of college football and the Tigers should win easily.
UT Martin at #1 Mississippi State: This game will be a blowout, but the number 1 ranked Bulldogs may be thinking ahead to next week’s showdown with Alabama. This is a once in a lifetime Mississippi State Bulldog team and everyone needs to break out the cowbells.
Presbyterian at # 7 Ole Miss: Poor Ole Miss had some bad luck last week against Auburn and they should have won that game. They will destroy their hapless opponent on Saturday.

# 7 Oregon at Utah: Overlooking Utah in this game would be a mistake. They are dangerous at home. Oregon is coming off of a huge win over Stanford and may be set up for an upset here. But, I am still taking Oregon.
# 11 Baylor at #20 Oklahoma: Baylor needs to win here or they may be out of the conference race. The Sooners have struggled lately but looked better last week. Baylor spanked Oklahoma last season, but they are a much better team at home than on the road.
I am picking the Sooners here.
# 18 Wisconsin at Purdue: Purdue is another school that is much improved and I am very impressed by their head coach Darrel Hazell. But, that won’t be enough against Wisconsin and Melvin Gordon. But, then again, the Badgers may be looking forward to their game with Nebraska next week.
In spite of the upcoming game with the Huskers, the Badgers should beat up on the Boilermakers.
# 24 Iowa at Minnesota: 6-2 Iowa travels to face 6-2 Minnesota. The Gophers Running Back David Cobb is one of the best in the land with 1,131 and 7 Touchdowns to back that up.
Iowa has a tough defense and I am picking the Hawkeyes.
Georgia Tech at North Carolina State: The 7-2 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have had a surprisingly good season so far. The Wolfpack of North Carolina State went 4-0 and then lost 4 straight and are sitting at 5-4 now on the year. Georgia Tech is a tough team to prepare for, so I am going with the Yellow Jackets.
# 21 Duke at Syracuse: Duke won the ACC Coastal division last season and looks like they are on their way to another championship. Syracuse is yet another improved team this season but the Blue Devils should win this game.
# 5 Notre Dame at # 15 Arizona State: Last year, the Sun Devils lost to the Irish 37-34 in South Bend. This is a chance for either the Notre Dame Fighting Irish or the Arizona State Sun Devils to make a statement and possibly earn a playoff berth. Both teams will have to win out if they have any shot at all. I like Arizona State at home in this game, but I think the Irish will take them.
#25 Marshall at Southern Mississippi: Marshall is undefeated on the year along with Mississippi State and Florida State. Marshall should win this one easily.
Boise State at New Mexico: I relish the opportunity to watch Boise State play on a green turf. New Mexico should be easy for the Broncos who have played against the likes of Ole Miss.
# 22 UCLA at Washington: UCLA looked really good taking down Arizona last week. Playing in Seattle can be dangerous and especially with the weather possibilities.
The Huskies are good, but I think the Bruins take them down.
Louisville at Boston College: The Cardinals lost last week to Florida State, but they gave them all they wanted and then some. Boston College is yet another team that is much improved and can be a dangerous place to visit. I am still taking the Louisville Cardinals.
# 14 Kansas State at #12 TCU: This game will probably eliminate one of these teams from the Big 12 championship. Since this game is in Fort Worth, the Horn Frogs should win. But, the Wildcats are probably the best coached team in the conference and are dangerous.
Florida at Vanderbilt: The Gators may have saved Will Muschamp’s job last week in Jacksonville by roughing up the Georgia Bulldogs. But, they still have issues. Vanderbilt may just be what the Doctor ordered for the Gators.
Florida wins here.
# 9 Ohio State at # 8 Michigan State: This will be one of the better games of the season. Michigan State took them last year in dominating fashion, but this Spartan team is not the same. Earlier, I thought Michigan State would win the Big 10 and this game, but now I am no longer confident and I am going to pick the Buckeyes.
Colorado at # 23 Arizona: The Colorado Buffaloes are about to turn a corner and become competitive again. But, they won’t do that against Arizona this weekend.
