Travis Rudolph Florida State

Living under a rock can be a good thing. For instance, you would never have heard of the Kardashians, or Beyonce.

But, you’d also miss a few good things like the story about Florida State Wide Receiver Travis Rudolph and befriending the Autistic boy.

Probably most people have heard the story already. But, for those that haven’t Seminole star Wide Receiver Travis Rudolph went to an elementary school in the area and he noticed a little boy eating his lunch all alone. Instead of sitting with all of the cool kids who don’t need any friends, Rudolph sat with the little boy without friends.

You’d have to be pretty hard not to feel at least a little warm inside about this. The boy’s mother heard

about it and wanted to meet with Rudolph.
Travis Rudolph is a good player, but he was just one of three top go to receivers last season for the Noles. But, unless you have a heart of stone, Rudolph now stands above the rest.

As a true freshman in 2014, Rudolph caught 38 passes for 555 yards and 4 Touchdowns. Those totals ranked him 4th on the team in receptions behind team leader Rashad Greene who had 99 catches. Plus

Tight End Nick O’Leary caught 48 passes and Bobo Wilson had 42.

Ermon Lane had 13 receptions on the season.

During the somewhat disappointing 2015 season, Rudolph led the team in receptions with 59. But, that was just one catch over Bobo Wilson who had 58 and just two over the total for Kermit Whitfield who had 57 on the season.

Rudolph, after 7 games, leads the team in receptions with 32. Auden Tate is their new goal line receiver and he leads the team in Touchdown receptions with 4 with Rudolph having 3 currently. Tate was one of my potential break out players for this season that I wrote about here: Tate

If you are looking for somebody to idolize in this year’s college football season, you could certainly do a lot worse than Travis Rudolph.

Anybody that goes out of his way to help a child out is all right in my book. Rudolph is a very good player, too.
