Friday October 7th
Clemson 5-0 at Boston College 3-2: Clemson must be exhausted after last Saturdays battle with Louisville. But, they are still one of the best teams in the country and head coach Dabo Swinney has developed the Tigers into one of our nation’s top college football programs. Boston College will have it’s hands full with Deshaun Watson and company but even though the Eagles lost their Defensive Coordinator to Michigan, they are still the number one defense in the nation. Clemson is a 16.5 point favorite and they could blow out Boston College, but I think they win after something of a fight. After getting up for Louisville at home it might be tough to go to Boston and maintain that.
Saturday October 8th:
Penn State 3-2 at Maryland 4-0: The Terrapins being undefeated is amazing and they are 1.5 point favorites over Penn State. Penn State has just dominated Maryland over the years with a 36-2-1 record against them. But, times may have changed. New Maryland coach DJ Durkin has basically the same team as last year’s coaches and he is winning with them. Penn State is still struggling under James Franklin. Maryland is at home and they have always had issues with Penn State. I’m thinking Maryland wins and covers.
Texas 2-2 vs Oklahoma 2-2: The Sooners are favored by 10.5 points in the Red River Shootout.Texas is reeling, but they were last year and they beat the Sooners. Oklahoma bounces back here and gets the win.
Notre Dame 2-3 at North Carolina State 3-1: The Fighting Irish are really struggling right now and especially on defense. North Carolina State is favored by 1 point at home. The Wolfpack has a decent defense and they could cause Irish coach Brian Kelly even more problems. Both schools offenses are similar in stats, but the Irish defense is horrible right now. The Wolfpack will bring their best game because it’s Notre Dame. This game could go either way, but I would say Wolfpack wins it.
LSU 3-2 at Florida 4-1: LSU is a 2.5 point favorite right now and that works for me.
Auburn 3-2 at Mississippi State 2-2: Auburn is the 3 point favorite and Mississippi State is just not very good right now and the Tigers should win this one. Gus Malzahn needs the win.
Georgia Tech 3-2 at Pittsburgh 3-2: Pittsburgh is favored by 6.5 points and both of these teams have excellent running games. Pittsburgh should win by at least 7 at home.
Indiana 3-1 at Ohio State 4-0: Ohio State is listed as a 29 point favorite and the Hoosiers might be more of a challenge than that. The Buckeyes win but it shouldn’t be that much of a blowout.
Purdue 2-2 at Illinois 1-3: Illinois hasn’t shown much improvement yet in year one of Lovie Smith’s coaching hire, but it’s coming. Purdue’s Darrell Hazell is probably on his way out the door. The Fighting Illini are 10 point favorites and should cover.
Virginia Tech 3-1 at North Carolina 4-1: This should be a very good game between two schools eager for an ACC title. Justin Fuente is going to kill it at Tech, but North Carolina is a good team and they are favored by 2.5 points over the Hokies. Tar Heels should win a tough game.
Tennessee 5-0 at Texas A#M 5-0: The Aggies are favored by 6.5 points at home against the Vols. Aggies are tough at home and they probably cover.

Colorado 4-1 at USC 2-3: Best Colorado team in a while and they are off to a shocking start. However, the Trojans are the favorites by 5 points and maybe the talent comes to play this weekend and covers the spread. If the Trojans take the Buffaloes lightly, they are in for a surprise. This team will hit you.
Vanderbilt 2-3 at Kentucky 2-3: The bottom of the worst of the SEC and Kentucky is favored by 3 points. Both coaches will be shown the door soon only to start over and to send another coach out the door. Maybe these schools should join the MAC and Kentucky probably wins at home and covers. But, Vandy does have a good defense.
Alabama 5-0 at Arkansas 4-1: Top rated Alabama is favored by 13.5 points and they should win by
about 14 to 17 points. But, strange things have happen in Fayetteville.
Michigan 5-0 at Rutgers 2-3: Michigan is favored by 27.5 points and Rutgers is in a struggle to survive. Michigan should score every way possible as they want to continue recruiting in New Jersey.
Texas Tech 3-1 at Kansas State 2-2: Texas Tech can score points, but Kansas State is the favorite by 7.5 points. Tech’s defense is pretty bad and I think the Wildcats can outscore them and cover.
Georgia 3-2 at South Carolina 2-3: Georgia has lost 2 in a row but they are favored by 7.5 points. South Carolina will soon learn what Florida learned, but in the meantime they will lose this game but play it closer than the spread, in my opinion.
Washington 5-0 at Oregon 2-3: Washington, as expected, is the new big boy of the Pac 12 and Oregon has fallen away it seems. The Huskies are favored by 8.5 points and probably win by 10.
Florida State 3-2 at Miami 4-0: It’s hard to believe but Miami is now favored by 3.5 points. Wow. I think Florida State upsets them if they even get to play with that hurricane.
California 3-2 at Oregon State 1-3: Cal is favored by 13 points and they should win by more.
Arizona 2-3 at Utah 4-1: Utah is the favorite by 9.5 points and Arizona is just terrible at the moment. Utah at home coming off of their first loss will dominate them.
UCLA 3-2 at Arizona State 4-1: UCLA plays better against Arizona State on the road than at home, it seems. Arizona State lost their first game last week at USC and the Bruins are now favored by 9.5 points. Not impressed with either school right now and the Sun Devils beat the Bruins in something of an upset.
Washington State 2-2 at Stanford 3-1: Stanford just got manhandled on national television by the Washington Huskies last Friday Night. Stanford is favored by 7.5 points and should win, but the Cougars of Washington State can be hard to handle at times. Still, sticking with Stanford and the points.
