Dorial Green-Beckham

One thing that has always intrigued me about football is potential.

Dorial Green-Beckham has as much potential as just about anybody I have seen. He was the #1 recruit in the entire country a couple of years ago. 6 foot 6, 225 pounds and the Missouri High School state champion in the 100 meters.
Yes, I do realize that the state of Missouri is not loaded with great speed. But, still for a guy of that size to be able to out run much smaller guys and win state is an amazing feat.

All he had to do was come back for one more year, and he could declare early and he would have been a top 5 or 10 draft pick and he could have bought just about anything he wanted.

He will end up somewhere as some coach that doesn’t care about right or wrong takes him in and he will probably still end up in the NFL. But, now, he is out of the limelight and he will not sign for millions of dollars and get the publicity of draft day.

He let his team down. He let his coaches down and mostly he let himself down.

What an incredible waste.
