Best Pac 12 Recruits

It was not a great recruiting season in general for the Pac 12 Conference. They lost ground versus the SEC and even the Big 10 with the classes that Michigan and Ohio State brought in. I believe that USC probably made a mistake by hiring Clay Helton and even though the Trojans had the best class in the Conference it was not as talented of a class as they could have had.

The Bruins of UCLA and Stanford did pretty well. But, the other schools were a bit of a disappointment.

QB:

KJ Costello – Stanford: He probably must bide his time at Stanford, but he is talented and one of the best in the nation.

Matt Fink – USC: Fink is not the standard Trojan type of QB. He can run and pass equally well.

Dillon Sterling-Cole – Arizona State: Impressive talent with a live arm and great upside.

Terry Wilson – Oregon: Could be the next great Oregon Quarterback. Runs like Mariota.

Khalil Tate – Arizona: Explosive play maker. Good luck keeping out of the lineup.

RB:

Damian Alloway – UCLA: Tiny RB, but very speedy and shifty. Excellent return man, too.

Chase Lucas -Arizona State: Fluid and speedy back stayed home to play for Sun Devils.

Vavae Malepeai – USC: Tough Runner that combines power and speed.

Brandon Wellington – Washington: He might be a better DB or an OLB than a RB, but he is talented in every phase of the game including Kickoff returns.

WR:

N’Keal Henry – Arizona State: Best player in the state of Arizona and the top WR in the country. Decided to stay home instead of leaving the state as is the standard. A super talent at WR.

Tyler Vaughns – USC: Will be hard to keep him off the field.

Josh Imatorbhebhe – USC: Tremendous athlete with hands, speed and moves plus good size.

Keyshawn Young – USC: Miami guy headed West.

TE:

Kaden Smith – Stanford: Another top Tight End headed to Stanford. Texas product and one of best.

Cary Angeline – USC: Super tall at 6-7, but needs weight. From Pennsylvania.

Cam McCormick – Oregon: Good talent on both sides of the ball. If not a TE, then a good DE.

Scooter Harrington – Stanford: Big, strong Tight End that also plays Defensive End.

OT:

EJ Price – USC: A top Tackle from SEC country. Very good player.

Clark Yarbrough -Stanford: Big and athletic guy that looks like a future star.

Frank Martin II – USC: Good local talent, should provide immediate depth.

Luke Wattenberg – Washington: Big frame that could fill out easily, 4 star tackle.

OG:

Michael Elitise – Arizona: He played Left Tackle but is projected as a Guard. Great potential.

Michael Alves – UCLA: Huge Guard and depends on his physical strength instead of technique.

With good coaching, he could be really good.

Jacob Capra – Oregon: Could use some more lower body strength, but very good form.

Marshal Nathe – Arizona State: Plays really high, but that is correctable and he has some ability.

C:

Cohl Cabral – Arizona State: One of nation’s top rated Centers, but needs to beef up.

Nick Harris – Washington: Unheralded. He played Tackle and Center on offense and Defensive Line and the guy can move.

DE:

Oluwole Betiku – USC: The Trojans top recruit for 2016 in an area of need.

Breland Brandt – UCLA: Very fast athlete that could play End or Linebacker.

Bryson Young – Oregon: Tall, fast and rangy Defensive End. Should be ranked better. He should play really early.

Isaac Garcia – Oregon State: Good athlete and pass rusher.

DT:

Boss Tagaloa – UCLA: Way underrated recruit. This guy is a stone cold killer at DT. Very quick.

Mike Williams – Stanford: Will be in 2-deep right away for a number of reasons.

Bo Peek – Stanford: Huge prospect could start at Nose Guard pretty early.

Osa Odighizuwa – UCLA: 46th rated DT? East Coast bias much? Very quick and deadly pass rusher. Awesome as a blocking Tight End.

OLB:

Mique Juarez – UCLA: Great athlete, plays Quarterback on offense.

Curtis Robinson – Stanford: Great Outside Linebacker prospect and pass rusher.

Camilo Eifler – Washington: This guy is a play maker and should be ranked higher.

Darrian Franklin – Oregon: Rough around the edges but a talented athlete.

CB:

Jackie Jones – USC: Long Beach Poly star, but slightly undersized.

Treyjohn Butler – Stanford: Expect him to be in the two deep right away and challenge for playing time.

Byron Murphy – Washington: Smaller Corner, but makes a lot of plays.

Nygel Edmonds – California: He plays better than his ranking.

DB:

Jamel Cook – USC: Wow! Incredible prospect with length and speed.

Shurod Thompson – Oregon State: One of the top Safety prospects in the country.

Brandon Burton – UCLA: Awesome prospect at Safety. No ball is safe with him in the area.

CJ Pollard – USC: Talented 4 star Safety recruit. Aggressive hard hitting ball hawk.

Athlete:

Trevone Sidney – USC: Smaller, but very fast athlete that could play receiver or defensive back.

Tristen Wallace – Oregon: Great QB prospect from Desoto, Texas that wants to play WR.

Melquise Stovall – California: Smaller guy, but a good athlete.

Isaiah Gilchrist – Washington: Speedy guy on both sides of the ball. Could play early, but where?
