CFC True Freshman All American Team: How Have I Done So Far?

Here is my complete True Freshman All American Team: AA Team

QB: Jacob Eason- Georgia: Eason was 2nd team in the first game, but took over the job after that. Eason has thrown for 1,020 yards after 6 games andd 8 Touchdown passes.

QB: Shane Buechele – Texas: Running out onto the field in the first game of the year against Notre Dame and leading your team to a win is kind of a big deal in spite of the Irish having a bad season. Buechele has thrown for 1,204 yards and 11 Touchdowns.

QB: Khalil Tate – Arizona: Tate was actually supposed to redshirt with Solomon and Dawkins

ahead of him. Tate has 177 passing yards and 3 Touchdowns, so far, and 112 rushing yards. More than likely still the Quarterback of the future.

QB: Brandon McIlwain – South Carolina: Playing in every game, but the last one. McIlwain has some serious quickness, but his passing needs some work.

RB: Miles Sanders – Penn State: The Nittany Lions are all in on Barkley and Sanders has only 6 carries so far 66 yards. Sanders is the main return guy on Kickoffs for the Lions.

RB: Beau Bisharat – Colorado:  The Buffaloes are one of the nation’s surprise teams with a 4-2 record and Running Back Phillip Lindsey has 395 yards rushing and is leading the team. Bisharat has seen little playing time and has 45 rushing yards after 6 games.

RB: Kareem Walker – Michigan: Big mistake here, Walker is not playing this year with academic issues, apparently.

RB: Antonio Williams – Ohio State: Redshirt freshman Mike Weber took over the job in preseason and never lookgd back. Williams only has 6 carries for 28 yards.

WR: Jordan Duncan – California: I picked the wrong true freshman at Cal  with Demetrius Robertson and Melquise Stovall having big years. Duncan has only 1 reception so far.

WR: Donnie Corley – Michigan State: Corley is the second leading receiver for the Spartans with 16 receptions and he will continue getting better. He is good sized at 6-2, 190 and a star in the

making.

WR: Collin Johnson – Texas: He has all the tools with great size and good speed and hands. But, so far he only has 6 catches for 66 yards. Johnson is 6-6, 215.

WR: Sam Bruce – Miami: Very talented, but booted off the team already. That’s just tragic.

WR: Dillon Mitchell – Oregon: The star of the Spring game, Mitchell has returned kicks for the Ducks, but has no receptions so far.

WR: Devin Duvernay – Texas: Might be the fastest freshman in the country and a legit deep threat. He got off to a slow start as a freshman, but is getting more involved in recent games. He only has 5 receptions but is averaging nearly 20 yards per catch. He should have a bright future.

WR: N’Keal Henry – Arizona State: The teams second leading receiver with 23, so far, with 3 Touchdown passes. Henry was rated as the top receiver in the nation and has lived up to billing.

TE: Isaac Nauta – Georgia: The Bulldogs are just loaded t Tight End, and true freshman Nauta leads the Tight Ends in receptions. Nauta was the top rated Tight End in the nation.

TE: Thadeus Moss – North Carolina State:  Good player. He only has 5 receptions so far on the season.

OT: Gregory Little – Ole Miss: Plays some as back up Left Tackle.

OT: Sean Foster – Iowa State: Back up Left Tackle

OT: Austin Myers – TCU: Redshirting

OG: Michael Jordan – Ohio State: Started on opening day and is pretty consistently good. I wrote Michael Jordan

more about Jordan here:

OG: Patrick Hudson – Texas: Originally signed with Baylor like Devin Duvernay, but they switched because of Baylor scandal. Hudson is redshirting, but could be the strongest guy on team already.

OG: Terrance Davis – Maryland: Back up at Right Guard

OG: Michael Elitise – Arizona:  Redshirting.

OG: Ben Bredeson – Michigan: Contributor at Guard, backs up Ben Braden.

OC: Zach Shackleford – Texas: Started at Center from day one. He’s had some bad snaps, but his blocking has been mostly good for a lowly rated true freshman, especially. He should start 4 years.

OC: Conner McGovern – Penn State: He starts, but not at Center. He is the Right Guard for the Nittany Lionns.

DE: Nick Bosa – Ohio State: 5 star recruit that is a part time player on a very good team. Bosa has 13 tackles and 2 Quarterback sacks.

DE: Josh King – Michigan State: King is up to 6-6, 270 now and he has a future, he is getting playing time, but only has 3 tackles so far. He’s not there yet, but he is impressive looking.

DE: Rashan Gary – Michigan: Top recruit in the entire country, and Gary has been a regular in the lineup for the Wolverines. He has 17 tackles and 5 tackles for loss and a Quarterback sack. The 6-5, 290 Gary will only get better and better.

DE: McTelvin Agim – Arkansas: Agim is a back up at Defensive Tackle, but he gets good playing

time. He will be a star.

DT: Jordan Elliott – Texas: Elliott is a huge kid at 6-4, 320 and he was highly recruited committing to several schools before choosing Texas and sticking with it. Texas is really young and especially on defense and Elliott keeps getting better and could be a force by season’s end. So far, he only has 4 tackles on the year.

DT: Mike Williams – Stanford: Redshirting

DT: Ed Oliver – Houston: Huge difference maker from his first game against the Oklahoma Sooners. As a true freshman Defensive Tackle, Oliver is 2nd on his team in tackles which is amazing. The 6-2, 290 Oliver moves really well and has 3 Quarterback sacks. He’s a super star.

DT: Boss Tagaloa – UCLA: Back up in the Defensive Line that spells starters. Good against the run and preparing to become a starter in the Defnsive Line.

DT: Dexter Lawrence – Clemson: The most incredible freshman and it might not even be close. He’s 6-5, 340 and supposedly runs the 40 in less than 5.0 seconds and has started at one of the top programs in the country since his arrival. Currently, he is 4th on the team in tackles and he is an excellent run stuffer.

LB: Rahshaun Smith – Clemson: Not playing

LB: Jeffrey McCulloch – Texas: A very young team that is going to continue to improve. McCulloch is a young talent that will improve along with his teammates, but so far he is not playing a lot. He has 8 tackles after 5 games

LB: Devin Bush Jr – Michigan: Bush is a part time player for the Wolverines. He has 7 total tackles so far on the season.

LB: Shaquille Quarterman – Miami:  Starts at Linebacker for the Canes along with fellow true

freshmen Michael Pinckney and Zach McCloud. Pinckney and Quarterman are 2nd and 3rd on the tackle list for the Canes.

LB: Erroll Thompson – Mississippi State: Redshirting.

CB: Lavonta Taylor – Florida State: Back up Defensive Back, but gets playing time at the Florida State Star position.

CB: Damar Hamlin – Pittsburgh: Redshirting.

CB: Treyjohn Butler – Stanford: Redshirting

CB: Jordan Parker – Oklahoma: Reserve Defensive Back

DB: Deontay Anderson – Ole Miss: Anderson is doing well at Ole Miss with 16 tackles and 1.5 of them for loss.

DB: Brandon Jones – Texas: Maybe the best Safety prospect in the country and off to a slow start in college. He only has 8 tackles so far, but he will be playing more and more and next season he will start.
