Best Big 12 Recruits

QB:

Austin Kendall – Oklahoma: Big time talent with a nice arm and a great athlete.

Zach Smith – Baylor: Big arm, will probably redshirt as a freshman.

Shane Buechele – Texas: Good QB prospect but his size kept him from being ranked higher. The son of a Texas Rangers’ 3rd baseman.

Skylar Thompson – Kansas State: Wildcats got a steal with Thompson. He’s a talent.

RB:

Kyle Porter – Texas: Tough and speedy RB that helped his team win state on a bad ankle.

Kameron Martin – Baylor: He’s a blur and should play early at Baylor.

Martell Pettaway – West Virginia: Super fast back from the Detroit area.

Abdul Adams – Oklahoma: I don’t know why he is only a 3 star. The guy can fly. Oklahoma is loaded at RB, so he will have to wait his turn.

WR:

Devin Duvernay – Baylor: One of the top receivers in the nation that will get plenty of action at Baylor.

Isaiah Graham – TCU: Big 12 steals one from SEC country. Graham is a super talent from

Louisiana. 13th ranked WR in the country, fast and elusive.

Tren’Davion Dickson – Baylor: Record breaking receiver with very good hands.

Jared Atkinson – Baylor: Big receiver with hands. Baylor cleaned house at receiver in recruiting.

Collin Johnson – Texas: Reports on his size vary from 6-4 to 6-6. Tall and rangy receiver that can make the circus catch.

TE:

Chase Allen – Iowa State: Allen has a chance to be really good. He is 6-6 with good hands and leaping ability.

Peyton Aucoin – Texas: Predominately a blocking Tight End in high school.

Nick Lenners – Kansas State: Bill Snyder went into Lincoln, Nebraska and grabbed a good Tight End prospect.

Dylan Soehner – Iowa State: Huge Tight End that could even move to Offensive or Defensive Line.

OT:

Austin Myers – TCU: The 9th rated Tackle prospect in the nation and he is good.

Jean Delance – Texas: One of the top Tackles in the nation and could play right away.

Tramonda Moore – Oklahoma State: Huge man and a giant steal for the Cowboys. This guy is a player. He drove one poor high school kid 30 yards downfield on one play.

JP Urquidez – Baylor: Big guy, but needs a lot of work with his feet. Relies too much on his size and strength, but that is coach able.

OG:

Patrick Hudson – Baylor: The top rated Offensive Guard recruit in the nation.

Denzel Okafor – Texas: Quick Lineman with excellent feet that should challenge for early playing time.

Tyler Brown – Oklahoma State: Huge, hulking Guard prospect with surprising quickness for his size.

Johncarlo Valentin – Oklahoma: The Sooners grabbed a monster Lineman from Philadelphia. He is lowly rated, but he is a monster that moves well. Really rough project, but you can’t coach size and athletic ability. I think he’s going to start for the Sooners.

Kellton Hollins – TCU: Big Center prospect out of Louisiana. The Frogs have become a power in recent years with mostly lightly recruited guys.

Hunter Harris – Kansas: Very quick prospect that played at a Texas powerhouse. He was a Tackle in high school but is projected as a Guard or Center in college because of his lack of length.

DE:

Isaiah Chambers – TCU: Great pass rusher and sufficient against the run.

Mark Jackson – Oklahoma: Smallish Defensive End, but excellent quickness and growth potential. The Sooners swooped in and stole him from the SEC.

Amani Bledsoe – Oklahoma: Bledsoe probably grows into a tackle, but the Moose has potential.

Jon-Michael Terry – Oklahoma: Small school phenom could have been a steal for the Sooners. He is big and fast and could play Tight End or Linebacker even.

DT:

Jordan Elliott – Texas: Elliott played mostly outside at Defensive End in high school, but his very bright future is at Defensive Tackle. He is ranked as the 12th best DT prospect in the land.

Chris Daniels – Texas: Playing at a traditional powerhouse school in Texas, Daniels is one of the best at his position in the nation.

Marcel Southall – Texas: The slightly undersized Southall will add instant depth and talent to the Longhorns thin Defensive Tackle ranks. Southall, Daniels and Elliott should all play pretty quickly.

Ross Blacklock – TCU: He’s huge, and not overly quick. But, he can be a great against the run.

OLB:

Jeffrey McCulloch – Texas: Nicknamed the Shark, McCulloch eats up offensive players. He is the 2nd ranked Outside Linebacker prospect in the country and it’s clear why he is well liked.

Caleb Kelly – Oklahoma: The Sooners traveled to Fresno, California to grab a talented Outside Linebacker recruit. Kelly is awesome pass rusher.

Erick Fowler – Texas: Committed all year to LSU and switched late. Excellent talent and plays early.

Bryce Youngquist – Oklahoma: If he makes it to Oklahoma, this guy looks like a future star. He supposedly runs in the 4.3 range in the 40.  He could be a replacement for the Sooner’s Eric Striker.

CB:

Eric Cuffee – Texas: Good sized Cornerback and a top player.

Jordan Parker – Oklahoma: Sooners did well in California and Parker is underrated. He could be a shut down Corner.

Parish Cobb – Baylor: He was committed to Oklahoma before deciding to stay home.

Rodarius Williams – Oklahoma State: The Cowboys have always done more with less, and Williams is not highly rated. But, he is tall and rangy and he was a ball hawk in high school.

DB:

Brandon Jones – Texas: One of the very best Safety prospects in the country. He will play quickly and may start as a true freshman.

Kenan Ivy – Baylor: Solid Safety prospect.

Chanse Sylvie – Oklahoma: Big hitter from a smaller school. He has a burst that is fun to watch.

Chris Brown – Texas: Brown is a heavy hitter that has a knack for the big play. He played Corner and Safety and might be more suited for Safety.

Athlete:

Sewo Olonilua – TCU: 6-3, 220 with supposed 4.4 speed. Very talented athlete could help at numerous positions.

Tyrell Alexander – Oklahoma State: Tall player that could play Wide Receiver or Defensive Back.

Dylan Thomas – TCU: Home town guy that played Quarterback. He has very rough mechanics but he is also a tremendous athlete.

Lil’Jordan Humphrey – Texas: Played RB in high school but is 6-4, 205. A talented athlete that probably plays in a hurry at Wide Receiver.
