Offense

nick marshallQB: Nick Marshall (6-1,220) Auburn. Marshall is one of the more dangerous QBs in the country. He has been working hard on his passing in the off season and should be improved there in 2014. Rushed for over a 1000 yards in 2013 and probably will do so again this year. It will be a tough task to repeat as SEC champs for the Auburn Tigers, but even if they don’t win it again Marshall should have a big year.

RB: Todd Gurley (6-1,235) Georgia. I must admit that Gurley is one of my favorite players in college football. He missed some time last year with an injury and only rushed for 989 yards in 2013. Expect that number to increase this year if he remains healthy.

RB: TJ Yeldon (6-2,220) Alabama. Yeldon rushed for 1235 yards at 5.97 yards per carry a season ago. Yeldon has some serious talent backing him and possibly taking some carries away from him in 2014. With a new QB next season expect Alabama to rely more on the running game at least at the beginning of the year.

WR Laquan Treadwell (6-3,215) Ole Miss. Super Freshman a year ago, Treadwell returns to better a season that saw him haul in 72 passes. He is big and strong and fast with good hands.

WR: Duke Williams (6-3, 210) Auburn. Duke Williams and Sammie Coates will be the top WR combo in the nation next season. Duke is a JC transfer and should put on a show next season. He is a high flying, acrobatic kind of big play guy that is fun to watch unless you are playing against Auburn.

WR: Sammie Coates (6-2,200) Auburn. Simply put, Sammie Coates is big time. He only caught 42 passes last season but Auburn didn’t throw the ball as often as some. Plus, his catches were good for 21.48 yards per catch. Coates is a big time play maker and Marshall should get him the ball more often this season.

TE: OJ Howard (6-6,240) Alabama. Howard only caught 14 passes as a freshman but he showed outstanding potential and speed for his size. Bama should hit him more this season as he has proven himself a quality target.

TE: Hunter Henry (6-6,245) Arkansas. Henry is another up and coming TE that had a really good freshman year for the Pigs. He hauled in 28 passes for 4 TDs. Not quite as fast as Howard, but a good receiving threat, also.

OT: La’el Collins (6-5,315) LSU. Monster left tackle for the Tigers and elected to come back for his final year. Possibly the best run blocker in the SEC.

OT: Cedric Ogbuehi (6-5,300) Texas A&M. Another good OL for the Aggies that should be a high NFL draft pick.

OT: Laremy Tunsil (6-5,315) Ole Miss. True freshman starter at LT last season for the Rebels and his future is all ahead of him. Has good feet and will only get better.

OG: AJ Cann (6-4,320) South Carolina. Steady and reliable blocker for the Gamecocks. Long time starter and leader.

C: Reese Dismukes (6-4,300) Auburn. Outstanding center that will wind up being a 4 year starter for the Tigers. Leader of one of the better OLs in the country. Considered the top in the SEC and one of the best in the nation.

Defense

DE A’Shawn Robinson (6-4,320) Alabama. True freshman monster a year ago. Look for Robinson to repeat and improve on 38 tackles. He led the Tide in sacks with 5.5. He was recruited by most as an offensive lineman but he is a super talented defensive lineman. Played at end last season but may move inside before all is said and done.

DE: Robert Nkemdiche (6-4,290) Ole Miss. Top recruit in the nation a year ago. He did manage 34 tackles and 2 sacks, but expect a break out year for Robert. He is huge and he is fast and his running the 40 in the 4.6 range demonstrates that.

DT: Chris Jones (6-5,305) Miss State. Jones was good as a freshman and should be better this season. He totaled 32 tackles and 7 tackles for loss plus 3 sacks.

DT: Leon Orr (6-5,305) Florida Only had 21 tackles but had 4.5 for loss and is difficult to block. Plays nose guard and clogs up the middle.

OLB: Skai Moore (6-2,220) South Carolina. Moore had a fantastic freshman year for South Carolina. Led the team in tackles and picked off 4 passes.

OLB: Cassanova Mckinzy (6-3,245) Auburn. Led Auburn in tackles at the Will LB position with 75 total. Also had 8 tackles for losses, 1 interception and 2 sacks.

ILB: Ramik Wilson (6-2,235) Georgia. Led the Dogs with 133 tackles, 11 tackles for losses and 4 sacks. Wilson is one of the top MLB’s in the country.

CB: Jalen Mills (6-1,190) LSU. Mills was fantastic for the Tigers in 2013. He was 3rd on the team in tackles with 67 and had 3 interceptions, 4 tackles for loss and 3 sacks. Expect another solid year out of Mills and then a declaration for the NFL.

CB: Cameron Sutton (6-1,180) Tennessee. Young corner had a good freshman season with 39 tackles, 4 of them for losses. Throw in 2 INTs and 7 passes broken up and 1 sack and you should have an all conference CB.

S: Cody Prewitt (6-2,220) Ole Miss. One of the Rebels’ best players. Prewitt had 71 tackles and 6 interceptions. He also had 4.5 tackles for losses and 7 pass break ups.

S: Landon Collins (6-0,215) Alabama. Collins is a productive player for the Crimson Tide. He totaled 69 tackles, 4 for losses, 6 passes broken up, 2 fumbles forced and 1 fumble returned. He also had 2 Interceptions and 1 returned for a TD.
