The Very First CFC Preseason 2014 All American Team

Quarterback:

Jameis Winston (6-4,230) Florida State

Winston is the engine that makes the FSU train go. They were good before he arrived, but they are great with him in the lineup. In his first season to start he was a redshirt freshman and threw for 4056 yards and ran for 219 yards. He completed 257 passes out of 384 attempts and 40 TDs. He was the second freshman in a row to win the Heisman and is the favorite to win it again this season. FSU did not have a close game all season until the championship game and Winston led his team from behind to win in the last minute like a true champion.

Marcus Mariota (6-4,210) Oregonmarcus mariota

In any other time, Mariota would be the top guy more than likely. Mariota is a talent. Strong arm and runs like the wind. He threw for 3665 yards and 31 TDs last year and he ran for 715 yards and 9 more TDs. Even if he is not a first team All American, he should be a very high NFL draft pick.

Nick Marshall (6-1,210) Auburnnick marshall and coach

Nick Marshall is the magic man. Marshall threw for 1976 yards and 14 TDs and ran for 1068 yards and 12 TDs. Before Marshall arrived Auburn was 3-9 and they turned around immediately. Word is that Marshall has worked hard and improved his passing in the off season and the results should be seen in 2014.

Brett Hundley (6-3,220) UCLAbrett hundley

Hundley had a huge season a year ago and threw for 3071 and 24 TD and he ran for 748 yards and 11 TDs. He was his team’s leading rusher. UCLA has made a recovery and is a competitor for the Pac 12 title and Hundley is a large reason why.

RB: Todd Gurley (6-1,220) Georgia

Todd Gurley is the man. Georgia had injury problems last season including Gurley. In spite of that, he still rushed for 989 yards and 10 TDs, coming off of his true freshman season in which he rushed for 1385 7ards and 17 TDs. Gurley split time with another outstanding RB Keith Marshall. todd gurleyGurley is back for his third and probably last season and Marshall will probably redshirt. He should have a huge year.

Melvin Gordon (6-1,210) Wisconsin

Wisconsin had a senior RB a year ago, James White, who was very good. Good enough to rush for 1444 in 2013, but that wasn’t enough to keep Gordon from rushing for 1609 yards at a very impressive 7.81 yards per carry. I feel pretty confident that sophomore to be Corey Clement will spell Gordon next season and have well over a 1000 yards also while Gordon has another fantastic All American type season.

Jeremy Langford, Michigan State

Hard running RB rushed for 1422 yards and 18 TDs. Langford also caught 28 passes out of the backfield. Jeremy Langford was the heart and soul of the Spartans offense a year ago and will more than likely be again this season.

TE:Nick O’Leary (6-3,250) FSU o'leary

O’Leary is a tough, old school TE that’s a great blocker and a talented receiver. He caught 33 passes for 557 yards and 7 TDs. O’Leary could be a bigger target this season with the departure of WRs Kelvin Benjamin and Kenny Shaw. O’Leary may be the grandson of golf legend Jack Nicklaus but he’s old school tough.

WR: Jamison Crowder (5-9,175) Duke

Crowder had an outstanding junior year at Duke, hauling in 108 passes for 1360 yards and 8 TDs. He had 76 catches as a sophomore in 2012. Crowder is also an outstanding punt returner taking 2 all the way for touchdowns.

WR: Tyler Lockett (5-11,175) Kansas State

Lockett is the opposite of Green-Beckham, a small and extremely quick and shifty receiver. He caught 81 passes for 1262 yards and 11 TDs. Lockett was one of the few bright spots of a disappointing season for the Wildcats. He had huge games against the better teams. He had 13 catches for 237 yards against Texas and 12 catches for 278 yards and 3 TDs against Oklahoma. Then, he hauled in 10 passes for 116 yards and 3 TDs against Michigan in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl. Expect more of the same this season.

WR: Matt Miller (6-3,220) Boise State

I will never watch a game on that blue turf, but Miller is a big strong receiver that had 88 catches good for 1140 yards and 12 TDs.

OT: Andrus Peat (6-7,310) Stanford

Perfect Left Tackle prospect that is equally strong in the passing and the running games. Former 5 star recruit will be high NFL draft pick next year.

Cameron Erving (6-6,320) Florida State

Cameron Erving has just been playing in the offensive line for 2 years. Florida State fans rejoiced when Erving announced he was returning for his senior year and he needed to return for another year of experience. He came to FSU as a Defensive Tackle. He is very athletic, and is one of the top OT’s in the country.

La’el Collins (6-5,315) LSU

After watching so many people play, I truly believe that Collins is one of the top 3 OTs in the country. Collins is an excellent run blocker in particular and came back to school to get his degree and improve his NFL draft status. He was only 2nd team all SEC last year, but that will definitely improve this season. He has started 25 games for the Tigers.

OG: AJ Cann (6-4,320) South Carolina

Mr Reliable for the Gamecocks. Cann is a great leader for them both on and off the field and he’s an honor roll guy and a 4 year starter. Should be one of the top 2 or 3 guards drafted by the NFL next year. Good feet and a relentless blocker.

Tre Jackson (6-4,340) Florida State

Projected as the very top OG in next year’s NFL draft, Jackson is a huge and very talented guard and one of the top contributors to an OL that helped the Seminoles become one of the top offenses in the country. FSU offensive line is considered the best in the nation and Jackson is one of it’s top 2 performers if not the very best.

Laken Tomlinson (6-3,320) Duke

Duke was one of the surprise teams of 2013 facing Florida State in the ACC championship game. Tomlinson was one of their best players a year ago and will be again this season. Originally from Jamaica, he has not been playing football all that long. Like Jackson and Cann, he is considered one of very top guards in the country. A physical specimen and very athletic, his future is very bright.

Arie Kouandjio (6-5,315) Alabama

Lifestyle Causes of Impotency in Men Apart from the physical and neurological factors look at more info viagra pfizer online of the disease. I realize that I have too many guards on my list, but the last 2 are just too good to keep off. Alabama has been a machine for some time and Arie is a big part of that. Like the players above, Arie is considered one of the top guards in the country and should be all SEC and make some AA teams. His is a name that NFL fans should learn to spell especially with his brother leaving early for the NFL.

Dan Skipper (6-10,315) Arkansas

Skipper is an absolute giant of a man, that started as a true freshman out of Colorado. Despite his size, he has excellent quickness and athletic ability and is very good at both run and pass blocking from what I have seen of him. He’s part of a new breed of Offensive lineman that is huge and talented. I look forward to watching him develop and he should be a serious monster when he matures.

OC: Reese Dismukes (6-3,300) Auburn

Dismukes is considered by most to be the top Center in the country. He’s the leader and the captain of a very good Auburn Offensive Line. He demands excellence from himself and his teammates. Dismukes has been a starter since the first day he arrived at Auburn.

DE: Vic Beasley (6-3,235) Clemson

Beasley was one of the most productive defensive players in the country, 13 sacks and 41 tackles and 23 tackles for loss plus 6 passes broken up, 4 forced fumbles and 5 QB hurries. The Clemson Tiger defense should be among the best defenses in the country and Beasley is one of it’s leaders. Returning all ACC player and should be All American in 2014.

Cedric Reed (6-6,260) Texas

Reed was second on his own team for sacks with 10. He was also third on the team in total tackles with 77 with 16.5 tackles for losses, plus 12 QB hurries, 4 passes broken up and 5 forced fumbles. Reed chose to come back for his senior season to play for new coach, Charlie Strong and has worked hard to improve for 2014 and should be a much better DE this season.

Hau’oli Kikaha (6-3,250) Washington

A savage beast of a man at DE. He was 4th on his team in tackles with 70 and had 13 sacks. Throw in 15.5 tackles for losses, and 3 passes broken up plus 3 forced fumbles and you have a devastating player at the DE position. He also decided to return for his senior season.

A’Shawn Robinson (6-5,290) Alabama

Best defensive lineman in the country as a freshman. Some may argue that, but the man is simply a super star. he switched from Texas to Alabama last moment and Texas is still reeling over that. Robinson led his team in sacks, was second in tackles for loss and was 7th on the team in tackles and that was on a very talented defense. Robinson will be a high draft pick by the NFL in two years.

DT: Leonard Williams (6-4,290) USC

Williams had 73 total tackles, 5 sacks, 12.5 tackles for losses play in the middle of the defensive line. Here’s another guy that is pretty scary to opposing offenses.

Carl Davis (6-5,315) Iowa

I am picking Davis here mostly on potential which he has plenty of. He had 42 total tackles 4 tackles for losses and year ago and will do better this season. Iowa had issues a year ago at times, but they had a good defense all year and Davis was a big part of that.

OLB: Derrick Malone (6-2,215) Oregon

Malone led his team in tackles with105. He also had 2 sacks and 2 INTs. Possesses excellent speed and quickness and is good against the run and the pass.

Taiwan Jones (6-3,250) Michigan State.

Huge outside LB, totaled 67 tackles and 7 tackles for loss. Moves really well for a big man. Taiwan was a major piece of one of the nation’s great defense.

MLB:Denzel Perryman (6-0,245) Miami

Leader of the Hurricane defense. He had 108 tackles and 1.5 sacks, throw in 5 tackles for loss and 3 passes broken up, 2 QB hurries and 1 forced fumble and we are looking at a pretty busy middle linebacker. He is back for his senior year and should have a nice season.

Ramik Wilson (6-2,235) Georgia

Georgia hasn’t been known for great defense of late but that could change with the return of Wilson and the addition of outstanding DC from FSU, Pruitt. Wilson had 133 tackles, 4 sacks, 11 tackles for loss, 3 passes broken up and 2 QB hurries. He should havea stron season in 2014.

CB: Ishmael Adams (5-8,190) UCLA

Adams led his team with 4 INTs and he had 61 total tackles, plus 4 pass break ups. He also returned punts and kicks.

Ifo Ekpre-Olomu (5-10,185) Oregon

Team leader from his corner spot and has a reputation as one of the best corners in the country. He snagged 3 INTs and 84 tackles. He also added 5 tackles for losses and 6 passes broken up and 1 fumble causes.

S: Anthony Harris (6-1,190) Virginia

One of the few bright spots for the Cavaliers in 2013. Harris led the nation with 8 INTs as a junior and also made 80 tackles, including 3.5 for losses. He also had a QB sack, broke up 6 passes, forced a fumble and blocked a kick for good measure.

Kurtis Drummond (6-1,200) Michigan State

Drummond was a standout on one of the nation’s top defenses a year ago. He helped the Spartans defense with 91 tackles and 4 INTs. He also had 3.5 tackles for losses and 6 passes broken up and a forced fumble.

Cody Prewitt (6-2,220) Ole Miss

Ole Miss is an up and coming team and Prewitt is one of the top players for the Rebels. He was one of the top DBs in the country a year ago and had 6 INTs and 71 total tackles. He also registered 4.5 tackles for losses and broke up 7 passes and forced 2 fumbles.

Nate Andrews (5-11,210) Florida State

Nate Andrews was a freshman sensation and will be experienced and therefore even better this season. In the Seminoles amazing championship season, Andrews had 4 INTs, 35 tackles 4 passes broken up and 3 fumbles forced. Look for Andrews to do even more this season as Florida State attempts to go back to back.

K: Marshall Morgan (6-3,200) Georgia

Morgan was reliable for the Dogs last year. He made 22-24 FGs with a 56 yard kick as his long. He was perfect on his extra points going 45/45

P: Austin Rehkow (6-3,200) Idaho

I have to go with Rehkow and his 47.8 punting average on 75 punts

Please let me know if you agree with my All American team picks.
